What kind of cookies go good with tea?

I was wondering because I was going to make my mom and dad a gift basket type of thing with tea and coffee stuff

What kind of cookies go good with tea?
I like a mild ginger - here's my recipe :

Ginger Biscuits

Ingredients

2 oz vegan margarine

1 oz sugar

4oz flour

1 teaspoon ground ginger

Blend the margarine with the sugar until it is a smooth paste. Add the ginger and flour and blend thoroughly. If it too dry add a teaspoon of water - it should come together in a dough. Roll out on a floured surface and cut out using a cookie cutter. Place on a greased baking sheet in a 200 degree oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Reply:These are nice dunkers with tea.

Zimtsterne (Cinnamon Stars)

3 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 ? cups sugar

2 whole eggs

1 egg, separated

1 teaspoon lemon juice

2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

2 ? teaspoons baking powder

1 ? teaspoons cinnamon

? teaspoon nutmeg

? cup finely chopped walnuts

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix butter, sugar, 2 whole eggs, 1 egg yolk, and lemon juice until fluffy. Measure out flour. Stir dry ingredients together; blend into sugar mixture. Stir in nuts. Roll dough, 1/3 at a time, to 1/16” thick on lightly floured board. Cut with a star cutter. Brush tops of cookies with remaining egg white beaten until frothy. Bake on lightly greased baking sheet 6 to 8 minutes. Makes 6 to 9 dozen cookies, depending on size of cookies.
