I work as an assistant in a small law firm (2 attorney's in my office). Both attorneys have young children, who frequent the office, so holiday gift giving is typically for the whole family, not just the boss. For example, last year I made gift baskets for each famli and included age appropriate board games for the kids with popcorn and coke and candy and what not. This year I'm going for something similar... but have no idea what... ages of kids are 8,10 and 3,6,9. I'm not wanting to spen more than 40 to 50 apiece.. PLEASE HELP!!!

The basket idea is great! I like it because you got the whole family involved with it and they get to spend time together enjoying the gift.
I would stick with a similar idea - maybe try movies this year or gift cards to Blockbuster or if your area has any family fun places like arcades or indoor mini golf or something.
Don't let the people who think it is silly for you to get your bosses family a gift - I plan on getting my boss something he and his wife can enjoy and some dog treats for his pups.
Reply:why would you want to shop for your boss's family gift? most people can't even afford buying gift for everyone of their own family, relatives and friends and you shopping for your boss's family? I would recommend you start this year, stop shopping for them as no needed, if the employer ran in a situation where they don't need you anymore, they'll regretlessly let you go no matter what.
