Ideas for a gift basket for a knee surgery?

When I make my baskets for people in the hospital I usually like to stuff it with things that relate to the surgery. Example, my one friend had her wisdom teeth removed one of the things I put into it was jaw breakers. (I know very cruel, but funny) . My other friend was seeing double, so I stuffed it with all "double" themed merchandise like double stuffed oreos, double toothbrushes, double mint gum. Any ideas for a knee replacement? My family knows me as a kind-hearted, fun person.

a soccer ball or fake snow ski pass
Reply:How about some 'KN' words? knockwurst, knife, knick-knack, knitting kneedle .............
Reply:How about a jump rope? A book on taking up jogging?
Reply:I don't know about "funny" ideas, but I would suggest books, t.v. guide, puzzles, movie, video games, anything really that a person can do without walking. Sweatpants would be a good gift, I think.. casts are so large and nothing ever fits over them.. and the knee is probably huge because of the surgery.
Reply:Those little chocolates that have sports-themed foil wrappers might be funny. A prayer book, since some people kneel to pray... just a couple ideas :)
Reply:As someone who had knee surgery 6 weeks ago (although not a replacement!) I would suggest a pair of high heels if the recipient is female. Or a frisbee (it will be a while before they can play). How about a book or map of local region hikes or walking trails? The neat thing is that although they can't use them now, they are probably things they haven't used in a while and after rehab will be able to!
