Tis The Season to re-Gift?

What are you re-gifting this year? HAHA

I am completely serious. We all do it in one way or another.

I am making up hostess gift baskets for various parties and find that all I have to do is rummage around the liquor cabinet for a bottle of something...that someone gave me last year...Good stuff, just stuff I dont like.

Also, I find that the better the party=better gift that I will give.

Every year we go to the same ones and one in particular, I am sick of spening lots of $ on (I give nice/thoughtful gifts)

Is it really cheesy to re-gift a bottle of Yellow tail wine (yuk) because someone gave it to me...I will never drink that junk.

Do most people think of it as cheesy wine like I do - I'm not being a stuck up wine snob..it's just my opinion

Also, the person I have in mind for this serves this at parties - so they obviously know how cheap it is.

Best answer=10 point.

Be honest about the regift thing too!!

Tis The Season to re-Gift?
Ok, here's what I'm regifting...soaps, shampoos, lotions, coffee filterpacks, stationery and pens from motels I've stayed at throughout the year. Not only is that the cheapest and s#ittiest in regifting but I make it even better by using expensive gift wrap and bows. The look on peoples' faces as they open the gift is absolutely priceless! By the way, I must agree--Yellowtail wine tastes like a$$. You're better off giving someone a 40 of malt liquor--much better quality.
Reply:I'm regifting a few things this year, like candles, dish towels, oven mitts, etc. Why not? I can't use these things, but I know that the people I give them to will probably enjoy them. And no, I don't think it's cheesy to regift wine if you can find someone who likes that kind.
Reply:Why don't you come to Hawaii. Most people give out packets of homemade cookies wrapped up like miniature Easter baskets...don't knock it, sometimes Moms is making some serious cookies...boy, you don't know.

Yellow Tail is fine when served at the right temperature in the right situation...I prefer mine in the weight room, personally, after hours :)
Reply:I don't re-gift.
Reply:I regift all the time. Its better than throwing it away. My favorite things to regift are gift cards. Usualy its for a store i dont like so there ya go! Also unused lotion is a good one to give.
Reply:I don't know anything about yellowtail wine but, I do regift. Ya know what happened last year? My BIL regifted one of our gifts to him!!!

Gotta keep it straight people!
Reply:Give it to someone who does NOT know the person that gave it to you and you are perfectly set! haha! We all do it... unless that person is really special to me and they were meaning the gift to be really important =) most people just give the gifts they do because they feel obligated or run out of time to pick something really special
