Some of my bridesmaids gift ideas....tell me what you'd rather get?

- stuff from bath and body (was thinking gift baskets w/ lotions, lip balms, body sprays, and maybe throw in a little shower radio)

- a spa gift certificate to use at various locations

- clothing of some type - like nice pajamas from victoria secret or something

- some sort of tote bag (without their names on it)

- something more personalized like little jewelry boxes

I'm not going to give jewelry or pictures. Wedding is around the corner and I need to narrow down some ideas quickly. I'd really like to give them a nice yet affordable gift.

Some of my bridesmaids gift ideas....tell me what you'd rather get?
I would really love the tote bag with the pair of nice pajamas from VS in it. Victoria's Secret (I think) is having a sale...last year around this time, I bought really soft nightshirts for $11 each.

2 - spa

3 - jewelry box

4 - clothing

5 - bath %26amp; body

:-)
Reply:I'd love anything from Bath and Body Works.

I'd also love a spa gift certificate.

Eh, the jewelry boxes and tote I could do without.
Reply:I always like getting gift baskets, but the truth is I never wind up using the stuff in them. A year later, I throw out unused body lotions and body sprays.

I like the spa gift certificate the best. One person above said she's just give it away - well, you know your bridesmaids, would THEY like going to a spa?

I got a monogrammed cashmere scarf as a thank you (depends on the weather where you live obviously) and I still love it.
Reply:I'm no bridesmaid, but I'd chose the spa certificate. It's something you could all do together, even after the wedding, and it's an EXPERIENCE, not a "thing." "Things" get in the way, become clutter, and, while perhaps cute and personal, end up not being that useful. Experiences become (fond) memories, and people are almost always happy with them (or at least will have good stories).
Reply:Go with the spa gift certificate, sounds fabulous
Reply:Personally, I would love the spa gift certificate (:
Reply:I would appreciate the spa certificate or comfy loungewear.

I would NOT want a gift basket from Bath and Body. Many perfumes irritate my nose and throat, so I would not want someone else choosing lotions and body sprays for me. I'm afraid that would end up in the garbage. Lots of women have their own favorite brands and scents, and so may not appreciate what you choose for their basket.

Like many women, I have a million tote bags and little jewelry boxes, so I probably wouldn't appreciate either of those. I don't think you can go wrong with the gift certificate. They can then get whatever service they really want, or at least have some of an expensive one covered. Have a great wedding!
Reply:I like the spa gift card myself, maybe include it in a smaller version of the bath and body care stuff you were thinking of. Like a few of the travel sized lotions, and body sprays in a cute little make up bag or something.
Reply:All of those are GREAT! I like them in this order best to least:

Tote bag

Bath and Body stuff (or certificate)

Spa certificate (although, I've had one in my purse since Christmas and haven't had time to actually use it)

PJs (or robes and those great towels you wrap your hair up in)

Jewelry boxes

Good luck and best wishes. Never let him forget, he's a lucky man! :)
Reply:Every year I get a gift from bath and body and every year I hate it. That stuff literally stinks. Spa gifts are nice. Pajamas are ok. Who needs another tote bag or jewelry box?
Reply:i like the bath and body stuff idea. =)

best of luck at your wedding!
Reply:Spa certificate is the best solution BUT only if the certificate will be enough to totally cover at least one full service like a pedicure or manicure, etc. Also, it depends where you would buy it. I have received gift certificates for spas where I had to drive 45 km. to the place and it was very inconvenient. Same goes for restaurant certificates - a gift of $25. off a meal at a place where the cheapest entree is $27.95 is no gift! And a spa certificate for $25. when the cheapest service is $35.00 is not nice either as it almost forces the person to go to a place that they normally wouldn't go, and spend money they wouldn't normally spend. If you can find a spa that has locations where each girl lives, and if you can afford at least $50.00 each, then go for it! But please stay away from candles, perfumed bath oils, lotions....scents that you might love might make someone else physically ill! You sound like a very nice person, not a bridezilla, as you are so concerned about pleasing your attendants!
Reply:Bath and body works gift basket is great.

May I suggest a gift card from Victoria's Secret. Everyone will LOVE that one and you won't have to worry about not having the right scent or size.

Good luck

PS/ Everyone gives tote bags with flip flops and tank tops, and the tired jewelry. Seen it a million times. Blah
Reply:I like-

1. Spa

2. Bath stuff.

Don't like Jammies- impersonally and not a great choice for everyone.

NO totes- everyone has 5 of them in their closet.

I have 3 personalized jewelry boxes at this point in my life (I am 30) so I think they are way over done.
Reply:I love the spa gift certificate idea - sounds lovely!!
Reply:a gift certifercate to a place they really like to go. You can personalize it pick something that each one likes.
Reply:Spa, that sounds so relaxing after a day of partying and pictures.
Reply:Hi there! I think the bath and body set, or the spa gift would be very nice. Either way, the bridesmaids could relax and enjoy (with the spa sets), or you could get a bath and body set with some bath salts or nice body cream/butter. Either one sounds great to me! Congrats and best of luck with the wedding!
Reply:Hi and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

My #1 choice would be the spa gift certificate.

My #2 choice would be the clothing...the pj's from Victoria's Secret.

Either of those would be VERY nice. OR, you could mix and match. Do you have a bridesmaid that maybe is not the "spa" type? Then get her the pj's. Others, get the spa certificate.

Good luck!
Reply:Spa gift certificate for sure!!! And if you could all arrange a time before or after the wedding to go together that would be so much fun!!
Reply:Spa gift certificate. Everything else will end up stuffed in a closet, sold in a garage sale, or given to charity. No one wants an engraved jewelry box.
Reply:I like the bath %26amp; body works idea the best this way if they don't like the scent they can exchange for one they do like...
Reply:The Spa gift card definitely. Also the tota bag would nice. Mr girls lover the tote bags I gave them!
Reply:I like the bath and body, and spa Ideas the best.
Reply:I know that this isn't exactly on your list....but how about a persanalized gift basket....They are your bridesmaids so you obviously should know some key facts about each person. In each basket I'd include, 2 or 3 candles, bubble bath/bath oil, a bath pillow, and a pretty bathrobe or slippers.

http://www.ebubbles.com/ebubbles.filerea...

has a variety of colors and scents and they also offer free shipping with purchases of $49 or more as well as lots of free samples.

I love them!!!
Reply:i would go for option 1 or 2. I'm thinking option number 2 would be the best. I have been begging my fiance to get me a spa day for my bday so if my friend gave me something like that i would be thrilled.
Reply:Spa gift certificate is best -- just try to make it for a particular service ("One free hour of massage therapy" or "A full day pampering"...etc) instead of for a dollar amount. Whenever possible, it's best to not divulge how much money you spend on a gift.

No tote bags. Jewelry boxes okay, but only if you pick them out individually based on the styles and interests of your maids. Like if one of them is really interested in African art you might get her one in from an authentic store that sells items in that style.

The stuff from bath and body is an okay idea, but only if they're really into that stuff. Otherwise it looks like you're just saying, "Oh, look, you're a woman. You must love lotion and smelling like a peach cobbler." Not everyone likes that and I know some people who would find it very impersonal.

Clothing sounds like a nice bet -- but I'd get them clothing that fits their personal style. They are, most likely, all wearing the same dress for your wedding....you should definitely take into account their style and body types for their gifts.
Reply:The spa gift certificate (provided it was enough for a full service like nails or something and not just part of one)

The lotions and stuff I would be allergic too and I'm picky about my scents. i found not all women agree on what they like.

Pajamas, how are you going to know the size? Do they even wear pajamas....

-tote bag...sure if you filled it iwth other little trinkets.. Not just a bag.

-knick-nacks...just say no.
Reply:Spa Gift Certificate

I am super picky about my lotions and stuff.

Pajamas are something I like to pick out myself.

Tote bag? boring

Personalized stuff is also boring.

Congrats on the wedding.
Reply:I would say gift certificate but, to a place they really love!
