i don't understand why John McCain, but David Paterson should definitely! lol

Reply:It doesn't help McCain anymore than Larry Craig (R), David Vitter (R) or Tom Foley (R) and their gay trists help the democrats. If it were a week before election maybe, but not this far out. Most people realize that the candidates behavior is individual and not tied to this.



There have actually been more Republicans invloved in Sex scandals in the last few years than dems. Like the examples above.



But powerful people are more prone to this type of error, no matter the party.



It hurts Clinton a bit because Spitzer was a Clinton super delegate and Paterson is uncommitted, I think, but that is miniscule.



Paterson was hoping to be appointed to the US senate if Clinton was nominated for, then elected President, but he is now a history making Governor. (first black in NY, only 4th in Nation, since Reconstruction and first blind governor. So that is not bad and Obama probably will be the nominee anyway.



This affects Spitzer and his family and we should pray for them to recover from this, but no real political effect on the Dems.
