I was thinking of getting a kitten for my boyfriend at the Spca , and put the kitten in his valentines day gift basket, he said he was ready for a cat, cause his ran off, but What else could I put in there with the kitten.
How much is a kitten at the SPCA?
What else to give him along with the kitten would depend on what he has already. A giftcard to someplace like Petsmart would be a good idea, so he can get what he needs and not have a bunch of stuff he doesn't need.
You could also take him to the SPCA and let him pick out a kitten. That way you know he'll like it.
Reply:am not sure best bet get in touch with them good if you can give a kitten from the SPCA a good home .....i am not sure what to put in with the kitten..........something what he likes i guess
Reply:$70 in my province. Check to see if they have a website with prices. The $70 includes shots and spay/neuter... You could pick out the kitten together to see which one he bonds with best. Gift certificate for a pet store might be good so he can buy food and litter.
Reply:That's a sweet idea! As for the what else to put in the basket... I like the gift card to Petsmart idea. I was thinking maybe instead of a basket, maybe a giant Starbucks mug if he likes coffee. Wouldn't that be cute? A kitty in a coffee cup? :)
Reply:were i live is $80.00
Reply:$75
Reply:Call them and ask.
As an animal shelter volunteer, I thank you for adopting a pet.
Reply:I don't think it is a good idea to put a cat in a basket as a gift. It is not a toy! By all means give him a gift voucher or something but not a real live creature that he just might not take to, or want at that precise time. It's like a baby - the minute you take it into your house it is going to need fed, toileted. played with etc and you can't just get up and go out for a drink after he has unwrapped it from its basket - you will have to stay in with it that night at lease, as it will be feeling very stange on its first night away from the litter.
It is a cute idea - but really, is it practical? Just think about it a bit more carefully, that's all.
Reply:A dog. That would be fun, hours of entertainment.
Reply:where i live, it's $95... which i think is outrageous! it does include spay/neuter, a few vaccinations, and microchip, though. it all depends on where you live. i would also try your local newspaper, or maybe a no-kill rescue in your area. i think that's a sweet valentine's day present!
Reply:Cat litter
Reply:Kitty litter %26amp; pan, kitten chow , play toys with catnip, Put all in litter pan and tie a bow around it with a V-Day card
Reply:I think it depends on alot of factors. Like the age of the kitten, heath, etc. And the area you live in. Maybe even the number of kittens and cats they have available at the moment.
I don't know what else you should put in the basket.
Reply:I would just put the kiten in there with a bow around it
And you dont have to pay for a kitten at the rspca just make a donation.

There is link for you
P.s what a great gift
Reply:they can be very expensive at the spca, try a smaller animal rescue. My spca charges $180+ for a kitten...i got mine at a small animal rescue, they only charged $30 and will help you with fixing, shots, etc.
Reply:where I live - it's $50
then you could give him a gift card to petsmart or something similar where he can buy stuff for the cat :)
Reply:It all depends on where you live, just call them up and ask.
Reply:It depends on how old the kitten is and what breed. We got our dog from the Battersy dogs home and he was neutered and micro chipped which put the price up i think but surely it's worth whatever the cost is just to give a little kitty a good home. Good luck and i hope your fella likes it if you decide to get one x
Reply:free aint they? they used to be
