Ermmm.....Cookies, candy or maybe even small plants. xXx
Reply:Go to a dollar store or the dollar area right at the front of Target - right now they have cute cheap Christmas items that will be great for a gift basket. Notepads, pens, stupid toys (even older kids love this stuff). If you are allowed to throw in some homemade Christmas cookies, or red and green rice krispies treats, put some of those in too.
Reply:Dollar tree has bags of foil wrapped chocolates in bell or round shapes in Christmas colors. My kids love those compressed wash clothes those are at the dollar store too. They come in Christmas shapes like gingerbread houses and men. How bout a Christmas ornament craft kit. I have seen those for $1 or less. Christmas hair ties or barrettes also at dollar tree. Christmas pencils, erasers. Homemade Christmas cookies. Wrap each one in saran wrap. Gosh this sounds like so much fun I wish I were making something like this. Enjoy Christmas have fun!!!
Reply:what about some lollies/chocolates or biscuits? I think you do need a food item in there?
Reply:How about a hot chocolate theme? Packets of hot chocolate and a nice mug from the dollar store will look adorable! Add a small bag or box of cookies with Hershey's Kisses and other chocolate candies. Add a very small bag of marshmallows for the hot chocolate and draw a little card.

Cute little mittens, scarf and hat will be perfect for the winter weather! Look around the Dollar Store and the Dollar Section at Target. You'll find great deals! Put it in an extra easter basket laying around and wrap it all in either wrapping paper or several layers of cellophane.

Lip gloss, lotion and other cosmetics will do great too, but don't go for eyeshadow, lipstick or mascara since this is for a 5th grader.
Reply:You can fill your basket with candy and chocolate-hershey kisses, etc. You can also put a cute card and some stickers and pencils in (stationary stuff). Other ideas are small notebooks, bookmarks, silly putty, mini play dough, kaleidoscopes, spinning tops, playing cards, decorative pencils, pencil toppers, bubbles with bubble wand, small bouncy balls, temporary body tattoos, etc.
Reply:pink gel pen, note pad, glitter nail polish or lip gloss, candy, one of those fluffy scrubby things, hand lotion,
