A 21st birthday gift basket..need ideas?

I am going to make a gift basket for my sister's 21st birthday. So far I am going to put in it a big bottle of liquor, smaller bottles of liquor, shot glasses, a book of how to make mixed drinks and of course balloons, what else should I put in it?

Reply:It doesn't all have to be alcohol related, some nice chocolates or gourmet snacks would be nice too. Or a disposable camera to document her crazy night.



You could invent a mixed drink with ingredients she likes, name it after her, and give her all the ingredients, and a card with the name and how to make it. My bridesmaids made a drink for my bachelorette party and it was a really cute idea.
Reply:Well, when you turn 21 you can gamble, so maybe some scratch off lottery tickets and some one dollar bills to take to the casino. When I turned twenty one my cousin made me a card with a two dollar bill and a one dollar bill taped inside.

Reply:21 is a good year for a liquor tree. Take a branch off a tree and stick it in a coffee can then hang the small bottles of liquor on it with colored ribbon. I have done this many times for a 21st birthday and they love it.

Maybe you can add some crackers %26amp; salami or a gift certificate to get a burger and fries, and she will definitely want something for a headache (best if taken before bed with plenty of water)! Your sister will thank you in the morning.
Reply:Maybe some of those hangover pills that you can take before drinking. LOL And possibly as a joke a get out of jail free card from a monopoly game. Some friends of mine did a similar thing for my for my 21st. They even got me gift certificates to some restraunt/bars and little shot glass necklaces and they all took me out.

Reply:a few lemons beads and glossy confetti taht can work for men and women but if its a guy put a porn magazine or video under the gift basket as a little surprise;)!

Aside from the obvious drinking theeme, you could do a 21 theeme - like 21 mardi gras beaded neclasses or one of those books that tells what happened the year she was born.



You could also put in something special like your favorite picture of you and her. Try to think about some of the best times you've had with her - a trip, a holiday, a party - and put something in that reminds you of that time. Like "remember that time we went on the same roller coaster 27 times?" and give her a keychain from the theemepark.



You coud also include some of her favorite things. Make the ballons her favorite color, put in her favorite candy - you know her best of all so make your gift to her the best and most personal of all of the many she will probably get this year. Remember, the best gifts come from the heart!



Plus, joke gifts like drunk goggles would be fun too! ;)

Reply:How about some limes or lemons or any other small fruits to make some of those mixed drinks. Maybe some margarita or beer salt. Some of those chocolate candies that have liquor in them, like bourbon.
Reply:asprin and alka seltzer...if you're gonna turn 21 and drink, might as well prepare for hangovers too and maybe a business card for the local taxi place just in case...it would not be fun to just become legal and lose your lisence for dui
