Has anybody made good money doing this? If so how much did you make and how.

You can make good money doing this but you do have to market to any place that has high visibility. Give some of them to teachers, doctors, any friends that work in a place where they deal with a lot of public. You will see the orders will start coming in.
Reply:I work at a UPS Store and one of our best customers is a lady who runs a gift basket business. She gets _so many_ orders--especially during holiday season! This Christmas, she must have brought in around 20-30 baskets. She does fancy foods, so the baskets are relatively expensive.



You could also do a "basket of the month" type deal; there's always demand for that.



My advice: scope out the area before jumping into anything new. See if your neighbors can afford it.
Reply:well not my buissness but the deal is i am currently an assistant for a mortgage loan officer...she usually send a wine basket to her realtors when she closes a loan and the borrower were *ss's....and a fruit basket to her borrowers when they were great customers......so i am incharge of ordering and making the whole delivery transaction run smoothly......but i had a fit with my basket maker and i had to cut her of my bosse's business. So i had her 1st assistant make basket localy for me. She charges my boss 20.oo for a medium wine or fruit basket and she delivers too.



the other lady i hired makes me medium baskets for 45.00 plus tax she delivers for 5.00 extra thats either one..



I can tell you its a great hobby and its great extra income my boss closes 10-15 loans a month and each one is to 1-2 baskets.so you can make the math. if you are barely starting i suggest using realtors and mortgages that do these things i tell you because in this buissness you need to kiss butt and a basket is the perfect way to do it to get business and refferals.
