You've probably heard this one before, but ebay.com

It's a great site. I began making picture frames and i got supplies from ebay.com and i saved a lot of money than if i was to purchase them at an arts and crafts store.
Reply:Hello, I have a trading card business, just getting it off the ground. I have a finished product, ready for the counter. I'm in Canada, I want to sell in the good old U.S. of A. A.S.A.P., I have to get a printer eventually, I'm pensionned, minor injuries, too much for the demand of producing the trading cards on an ongoing basis, let me know if you are interested....

L'amitie, Iceman...
Reply:You have to shop all the time, because you never know what they'll have. When you find something great, you have to be prepared to buy a lot. I lucked into a grocery warehouse (now closed, unfortunately) that specialized in gourmet items. That made it easy to put together quality chocolate, tea, coffee %26amp; pasta gift sets, especially when combined with dollar store type items like pasta strainers w/ matching bowls, mugs, etc..

My favorites were baths items: poofs, sponges, little brushes (like for hands and feet), soap dishes, lotion/soap dispensers, pumice stones and nail files. I used to make soap, lotion, bath salts and oils and fragrances. If you don't make those, look for good quality. (Check out the soap and lotion making groups online if you want to hook up with someone who makes bath items.) Try companies that sell soap making supplies, because you'd be surprised what all they carry.

Packaging and presentation is important, and little things like "to and from" gift cards are a big hit. For inexpensive labels, business cards, stickers, stamps etc. try Vistaprint.com. When I started, I printed my own, but it turned out to be less expensive to buy some of the items.

I'm excited for you. It was a great experience for me, and someday I'll get back to it. Good Luck.
