I have this big idea of starting a gift basket business....any ideas out there?

Ok.....first i plan to buy the baskets from dollarama since no one really goes there then buy a bunch of toilettries and choclate from dollarama and also some cheap stores and then sell for like $15....Is it a good idea?Where do i start?

First, if you buy supplies from a "dollarama" you will not have the quality people are looking for in gift baskets.



The best part of the "gift basket" is the basket that you have once everything else has been used or distributed out of the basket. A cheap basket will get you nowhere.



I think you are looking to buy cheap and try to make it pretty just so you can make a profit. Which you may at first but once the word gets out of the cheapness of your product the business will desolve.



If someone is going to spend fifteen or more on a basket then they expect quality with it.
Reply:I think a gift basket service is a great idea!! I sell Avon and I have a customer who sells Home Interiors, she makes gift baskets with products from both lines. I see nothing wrong with purchasing your baskets from a $ store, I just wouldn't purchase many of the products from there.
