"INappropriate" Christmas gift (for a special someone)..?

Ok, so here's my dilemma:

Im currently going out with a guy whom Ive known for almost 4yrs now, but only as an acquaintance.

I want to give him something nice and thoughtful for X-mas, but I cant decide WHAT to get, coz we're still at this awkward stage of the relationship where we're still getting to know each other. I would like to get him a decent gift, but not anything "stalker-like" or too "presumptous" that could drive him away. (And to make matters worse, he literally has EVERYTHING --%26gt; he's already stable: has his own house; owns several vehicles; and has his own business, to name afew)

Ive always given him general gifts (eg, wines/liquor, gift baskets) over the past yrs. But this year is difficult for me to pick a gift for him coz Im afraid of picking out a wrong one as Ive explained above. Im willing to spend $100-200.

My options:

-nice shirt/ sweater (-- too presumptous?)

-expensive chocolates

..that's all. What d'ya think, GIRLS/ BOYS?

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

"INappropriate" Christmas gift (for a special someone)..?
i'm sure he'll like anything you give him.

my advice stray away from your usual gifts.

i'd go with the nice shirt, you know what his style is like, maybe some cologne too.

* Raulph Lauren, Romance * is to die for.
Reply:Mmm... I'd go for the sweater first. Buy one that looks really sharp. If someone tells him, "Hey, nice sweater! Where'd you get it?", make him feel proud when he says, "I got it from my girlfriend."

Chocolates are a good idea, too. I, personally. LOOOOVEEE chocolate!!! Maybe buy some assorted chocolates and make a nice-looking chocolate basket type thing. I know I'd be so excited to get a bunch of chocolate in that fashion, especially if my girlfriend made the arrangement herself. Also, along with that, maybe add in a snazzy watch or some cologne.

Good luck!
Reply:a nice sweater should be fine like a navy ralph lauren but nothing flashy or that screams flashy or commitment like a watch, and no chocolates, show more depth. good luck xxx
