What is some good ideas for gft baskets???????
Movie Basket - you can get discount movie tickets at costco, add some candy, etc.

Italian Basket - add wine, pasta, cheese, crackers, sauce.
Reply:Actually, this year I am making up gift baskets and I am baking cookies and breads for some and then I am making my own infused olive oils and homemade pastas.

You can also make up a basket with wine, cheeses and crackers.
Reply:candy fruit
Reply:Be practical. Try a gift card from a gas station--eg speedy--can of flat fix/car freshner/winter window wash/spray defroster--especially if you live in the midwest. Give what can be used and not sent back to the store. Trust me--no body--NO BODY will reject a gas card!!!!!
Reply:Bake quick breads and cookies. You can buy the packages of mix. and bake them. That way you can say you baked them at home. Big selling point-Home baked. Or you can do muffins. Make like 5 different types. Tip: You can bake these things and freeze them. By the time you make up baskets and deliver them they are thawed.
Reply:movie themed- gift certificate for 2 to the local movie theater, different kinds of candy in the larger movie sized boxes, microwave popcorn

relaxation themed- candles, aromatherapy bath beads, manicure/pedicure set, scented lotion

kitchen themed- various kitchen utensils such as wisks, wooden spoons, etc, cute spoon holders that go on your stove, sponge holders, spices

party themed- dip bowl filled with different dip mixes (both savory and sweet), a loaf of sweet bread (such as hawaiian sweet bread), chips OR 6 pack of beer, beer nuts/peanuts, pack of cards, poker chips

wine basket-a bottle or two of wine from a local winery, assorted cheeses, crackers, fruits (this one would probably have to be refridgerated though)

kiddie basket- small toy items such as slinkies, books, dvd's, barbies, hot wheels, etc....

hope these help ya out!
Reply:I received a fabulous basket last year...a chocolate basket! It was filled with all sorts of wonderful chocolates from Hershey's to Godiva and everything in between. It would also be a great basket for men. Everyone who saw it, commented on how great it was.

Other baskets to consider:

Gardeners Basket

Puzzle basket

Bath basket

Crafter's basket (know a scrapbooker, fill a basket just for them...Include some free patterns found online)knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, painting, anything someone loves to do.

Hobby basket...find out their hobby and fill a basket with stuff for that hobby. Golfer's tees, balls, towels, etc. Fishing lures, line, hooks, etc.

You don't have to spend a lot of money to get a really nice basket. Good luck, baskets are really fun to receive.
