Gift Basket (extra income or silly idea)?????

I enjoy making gift baskets and I was considering making flyers and posting them throughout chicago (where I live). I would like to have a couple premade for holidays. But I mostly would like to make them at the customers request with thier opinions on how they would like it. Do you think it would work as something extra to do?

I think it is a great idea. Actually me and my sister thought of doing something like this at one time. I think it would be a great business to have around the holidays and special occasions. GOOD LUCK!!

Reply:Yes, this idea would work. One thing you must do is give people an idea as to what you can put in a gift basket. Also, I would pre-make some gift baskets, put their photographs and their prices on your fliers.



If you are talented, you can develope a very nice business.
Reply:I think it is an idea that may work. You may want to attend craft shows or holiday carnivals with samples and order forms. You may also consider getting a web page, or possibly even an e-store on ebay to sell your handiwork.

Reply:It depends on what exactly is in the basket and who you're trying to market to. Some people get crazy over that stuff, then some don't. It's not a real novel idea, so it might not bring in a lot of extra cash.

Reply:Yes that's a great idea.My daughters sister-in-law makes big fruit baskets with other goodies at Christmas and sells them to big companies to give their employees.She does a booming buisness but she gets her produce wholesale.There is a place that makes cookie baskets and they do really well too.
Reply:i think it would be a great idea but alot of work such gift baskets you could try is ones for the bathroom, spa, movie night ones but if you do this - you must buy stuff in bulk good luck at this idea.
Reply:Absolutely! You might want to contact florists shops and liquor stores in your area and show them what you can do, as a "subcontractor" or independent. (Where I live that's the place to go)
