This is my first time making a gift basket so I need some help. I am making a teacher basket with a lot of sweets, candy etc. When I tie the bag,do I keep air in the bag or do I try to get all the air out before i tie it shut? Thanks so much.
I am making a gift basket with the shrinking bags....HELP!!!?
It doesn't really matter how much air is in the bag. I always start from the bottom of a basket and work my way up. It makes a better seal around the container that way. Just use your hair dryer on the highest setting. Good Luck!
Reply:It shouldn't matter if you get all the air out or leave it in. Tie the top of the bag shut. I use some packing tape to tape the corners or "ears" of the bag under the basket.
Then start at the bottom of the basket and shrink all around, working your way up. Air inside will magically disappear. You can use your blowdryer set on High... no need to buy a heat gun or anything.
I am sure your teacher will love your gift!
Reply:If you are using heat shrink plastic it does not matter. As you heat it it will shrink to the right size. Air inside will not matter
