I want to send my sister a gift basket every month while she is pregnant. I have never been pregnant, so I have no idea what to get her each month. Something mostly for her, not the baby yet. That will be her gift at the shower.
Right now she is 3 1/2 months. I don't want to ask what she wants. I want her to be surprised.
For women out their who have been or are pregnant, what would you really enjoy at 4,5,6,7,8, or 9 months? Something small enough to mail that is not too expensive please. Thanks for the help!
Gift basket for expecting mother?
Lots of belly cream! Comfy PJ's, slippers, a cute maternity top, preggie pops, a relaxing candle, a good foot moisturizer, a food (like chocolate or candy) that she might be craving, the list goes on and on. Anything that will pamper her during her pregnant months.
Reply:Cards to show you care or to make her laugh.Flowers are nice too.Baby books with helps in it.
Reply:A robe...a journal...a camera...snacks....cute socks....slippers....a book with parenting advice....candy...candles...anything that you think will make her smile!
Reply:As she gets closer to her due date...a diaper tower would be really cute. New mom's need lots of diapers and they are relatively light-weight and easy to send. You can wrap them up all cute and it's a practical gift as well.

Many women tend to crave chocolate during their pregnancies. You could send her some gourmet chocolate.
Any uplifting book on motherhood.
I really liked the book The Baby Whisperer by Tracey Hogg. You could send her a copy.
A belly support band.
Stretch-mark creams.
Bubble bath.
Slippers for those aching, swollen feet.
A special picture frame for her ultrasound picture.
A grocery store gift card so she can stock up on easy dinners to eat after the baby is born when she won't have time or energy to cook.
A relaxing cd.
For the 9th month you could make up a basket of things the mother could use after the baby is born such as:
Lanolin nipple cream.
Breast pads.
Nursing night gown
Comfy bathrobe
Skin firming lotion
A gift certificate for a dinner out with her man (make sure it doesn't expire soon because it'll be a while before she goes out)
Other ideas include:
A magazine subscription (parenting magazine)
Hire a maid for a day
Disposable camera for lots of photo-ops
A mother and child necklace with the baby's birthstone in it.
A mother and child figurine
You could also make a donation in her and/or the baby's name to March of Dimes or some other charity for moms and/or children.
Hope this helps!

The prices are reasonable and the outcome is amazing.
