Gift basket ideas for guy friend?

he is travelling to australia for a long holiday and i want to put together a SMALL, CHEAP travel gift basket.

A few nice cd's, gum and hard candy for the plane. Body wash / shampo like Axe in travel size. A paperback book or a puzzle book of word finds or Sudoku and a cool pen.

Include a small stuffed koala bear just for fun!

Reply:If your friend is a guy, he probably wouldn't appreciate a gift basket as much as a girl would... Why not something else, like one of those hats you wear that can hold beer with the straw thingy... =D lol.
Reply:His favoritre stuff, example, beef jerky, breath mints, nuts. shaving cream, cologne (small bottle) from Walmart $5, some sort of game, like Word Search or those little hand held games there inexspensive, while waiting at the airport sometimes layovers are for three hours at a time, gift card to get new songs, if he has an iPod, soap, stuff for headache, motion sickness, nausea, a soft drink, of a bottle of Starbucks, disposable camera, prepaid calling card, so he can call you. Magazines, Sports Illustrated, Car Magazines or whatever he's into. A travel clock, not unless his cell phone has a clock with alarm in it, or a lock for his luggage(must have) lock for his hotel room (must have) if he is staying in a hotel. A watersports bottle if he's going to the down under Austrailia. Hope this helps and he has a safe and nice trip.

Reply:what is he going to be doing on his holiday? Get some kind of book or find it on net (slang's like loo for bathroom, etc.. ) buy or make him a book of the slang's. If he is taking a camera get film and batteries if digital get batteries and an extra memory card for it. Something for his free time in the hotel rooms such as cards, or find a word book. Pens, self addressed envelopes, with postage (go to your post office ask what you need to put on it for sending from Australia. Paper for writing. While at post office, pick up a box for GLOBAL Priory Mail FLAT RATE!! Ask what is the rate to send from there to States. Give cash for that, so he can send things back. Some of his fav. candy, gum, a book or two. Also instead of putting these items in a gift basket, look for a small carry on (guy style) or a tote bag, place items in there. Most men will just trash the basket, or keep it when they really want to trash it as to not hurt your feelings. put your items in something that is useful to him. What about a photo album, for his pictures.

Reply:I would buy a travel/shaving case and fill it with a bunch of trial size products like: shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, travel toothbrush, shave gel, aftershave, etc. and maybe a magazine and bottle of water for the plane.
