Reply:You should avoid fresh fruits and plants. Chemo reduces the ability to fight infections and these can sometimes have organisms on them that can make a person going through chemo sick.

Smells can also cause nausea.

If they are in the hospital they probably don't have much to do. Do they like to read, or work crossword puzzles. Try to include something that will take thier mind off of being in the hospital. Maybe a pretty picture of nature (or something they love) they can look at. Maybe a stuffed animal.

I'm sure whatever you put in it they will love! It really helps to know there is someone who cares when going through this.
Reply:How about a good natural skin cream collection, as chemo does leave the skin very dry. Also a nice fresh smelling cologne also boosts the spirits
Reply:well I make give basket so I would put magazines like readers digest, crossword puzzles, nice writing paper and pen stamps nice body powder, mints dif flavors, a small plant would fit in a basket
Reply:Perhaps a good book, try to find some nestalgic photo's or items that may take the person on a trip down memory lane to take thier mind off the present.
Reply:Things she can do with her mind, reading and puzzles; treats that she likes, after bath scents, does she have a DVD, then something she would enjoy watching.
Reply:Nice body wash, crossword puzzles, cards, a soft towel, magazines, lotion, CD of soft music.
