What can i put in a gift basket for my sons kindergarten teacher,i don't know what she likes?
You sound like a very thoughtful person to want to do that for your son's kindergarten teacher and I know they get way to much stuff like mugs with "Best Teacher" on it. Make up a basket of edibles, such as herb teas, homemade cookies tied up in cellophane and a bow, some extra special jam, oh I know you will come up with a great basket! Good for you!
Reply:OK i don't know if you have this store up there but the one thing all the women like up here, LUSH. it's uni-sex bath ans shower store. they have only hand made and natural products perfect for the no idea gift.
Reply:chocolate is always good. it's a lot easier to get a lot of small things than little things. buy (or grow) some pretty flowers, a small stuffed animal (she can put it in the classroom) a thank you note, maybe some cookies, these are all things that most people would like. I think she'd appreciate it if you get your son to draw a picture or if he can, write a short note to her. this will be more meaningful of a memory than most things that can be given.
Reply:most teachers like candles, word books, gift cards, watch, calculator, tote bag, small desk fan
Reply:My mother is a teacher. There is just so much bath and body stuff, just so many mugs, and just so many trinkets that say "best teacher" any person can have. At 56, your child's teacher probably has plenty of all of this.

What she would REALLY appreciate is a gift card. . . and why waste your hard-earned money buying something you're not sure she'll like? My mother appreciates every gift she receives, but she really LIKES getting gift cards. A few days after school is out, she heads to the mall and relaxes from the stressful year by spending some serious gift card dough. Target is great because it offers variety; Mall and Visa gift cards can be used almost anywhere.

Most importantly, a gift card saves you the stress of having to put together a complicated gift basket!
Reply:You could do a coffee or tea basket with a mug and a variety of teas or coffees and something sweet like biscotti or something similar. Thats a very nice thing for you to do.
Reply:As a Kindergarten teacher, I'd be thrilled with things like: gift cards, a calendar/planner, lotions/ spa related items. Teaching Kindergarten is a stressfull job, so relaxation gift ideas are the best!
Reply:Bath products are nice. Fancy soap and shower gel, a pretty hand towel and a mesh scrubbler would be appreciated by anyone. Another idea: A lb. of coffee and 2 mugs.
Reply:My kids get their teachers a gift card to a local bookstore...they can then choose what they want themselves.
Reply:gift cards, flowers, CD's if you know that she likes music, maybe a gift pass to the movie theater for the summer.
Reply:A book or (books), Chicken Soup for the teacher's soul.

Maybe a plaque, showing your appreciation with your child name on it as the giver.

A card, you can purchase with your child's picture inside.

A plant.
Reply:a candle, candy or chocolate, gourmet mixes , like hot chocolate mix, hummus mix, salad dressing, tea or flavoured coffee ; Nice note pad, and pen, crossword puzzle book or horoscope book?, a magazine, funky pasta, a lapel pin, movie passes, gourmet popcorn, flowers or a potted plant, something the child can make - a card or drawing. a picture frame for a class picture, cookies (homemade?) or a cookie mix, a nice trinket box.
Reply:Target/WalMart gift card! you can find nearly anything in those places!!!! oh and everyone loves chocolate and starbucks!!
Reply:Get like flowers for her to garden and some teaching stuff like chalk dry eraseboard maker and stuff.
Reply:gift cards

a card

candy

soap

cookies
Reply:I made a fruit basket for my daughter's teachers last year. I bought a bunch of fun stuff like those tiny bananas and stuff like that.
Reply:candles or boxs of candy
Reply:You could make her a gift basket with items she could use in her classroom. I know in my kid's classes, there are a lot of things that they ask the parents to contribute. Kleenex, colored pencils, etc.
Reply:a visa gift card will do the trick because she can us it any where
Reply:fruits
Reply:Well this could be considered a 'teaching' thing but, bright colored post it note pads, pens, pencils, wallet sized framed photo of your child, a travel packet or two of tissues/moist wipes.
Reply:Something that smells good from Bath and Body Works.
Reply:It depends on what kind of feeling you want to have with the gift basket...

For humorous, try:

Excedrin

Apple

Lottery ticket

pretend bottle of Valium

etc...

For pampering try:

candles

tea

facial/ manicure/ pedicure gift certificate

coffee/coffee mug

For motivation try:

Motivational calendar

soothing music CD

Inspiration posters

For gratitude try:

"best teacher" plaque

apple

'World's Greatest Teacher' pin/ t-shirt/ hat, etc

Have fun! I'm sure she'll love it no matter what!
Reply:a coffee mug, tea, a gift card, and something made by your child, a pencil holder, or craft of some sort...

fruits, nuts, and cheeses...

good luck!!
Reply:i agree no "teacher" items or desk accessories. if you do chocolates or candies make sure she isn't diabetic. soaps and stuff from bath and body works are great but there is a risk of an allergy, and she wouldn't use it anyway.

book store gift certificates

i agree with the visa gift card

gift certificate to a nice restaurant (if shes married make sure its enough for both of them)

a nice picture of the class in a frame

hope this helps
Reply:bath stuff-always welcome-get some nice foam bath-soap, talc- bath oil,-even shampoo-conditioner- something nice smelling always goes down well.
