How to make a gift basket?

Im always buying ready gift baskets but this time i want to learn how to make gift basket i don't even know how to make a bow please help!!!!!!!!!

As to making the gift baskets themselves, go to your local World Market or craft store and purchase a basket you like, fill it with the items you want (for example, for a bath basket put in a loofah, a bottle of bubble bath, some bath salts, some bath beads, a nice wash cloth, and a good book. You might line this basket with a fluffy towel) then wrap it in colored cellophane, which you can purchase at the craft store for cheap.



For other ideas on gift baskets, just dig around some of the websites that do gift baskets and see what kinds of stuff they're filling baskets with for different themes (bridal shower, new baby, birthday, coffee addict, etc).

The fun part is that you get to pick what goes in the basket. I say anything goes.

Ideas:

1. Bath basket- Towel, Washcloth, Soap, Lotion, Scrubber

2. Coffee Basket- Filters, Various Coffee, Muiffins

3. Jelly Basket

4. Muffin Basket

5. School Supply Basket- Paper, pens, pencil, scissors, crayons, folders

You have to buy some baskets at the craft stores or even Walmart would have them and depending on the theme whether it be Mother's Day, Father's day or a birthday, that is how you select your items. Now for Father's day, a bottle of wine would be good if the father likes a good wine now and then, bags of mixed nuts would be good as well as stationary and fancy office little office supplies. You can even put a necktie in there. Now for a friend's birthday, if they love coffee, you would want to put in coffee beans of all kinds, creamers, and even some nice cuts of cheeses. For the crafter or someone who sews, you can put in threads, some fabric, yarn, some patterns, and a measuring tape as well as a glue gun. It all depends on their interest and then from that, choose the items. That is the beauty of making your own gift basket along with saving money. Then you wrap the basket with the thin plastic cover and surprise them.
Reply:get a basket you like then go to a gift wrap and card place and get some basket filler material, then you need the clear wrap and a ready made bow. fill the basket with whatever it is you like wrap it with the clear plastic type wrap, some comes printed and some comes with a metallic background, tie it at the top then attatch the bow. hallmark shops would be high end, and some of the dollar stores have the supplies for the low end. walmart has it too, for the medium level of pricing.
